One, two, three, four, five, six, seven - all good children go to heaven.
[/i] be killed...).Or so we've been told, anyway. In all honesty, all the dead in this world go to Mu - nothingness. How can a place be nothing? What would one see or feel experencing that? Can the human body even attempt to understand what that could possibly feel like? The answer is I don't know - I've never experienced it. No human alive ever has, and we have nothing to fear from what we don't know.
Or, should I say, no pure humans have ever experienced it.
It is possible for one to be dragged out of Mu, on the grounds that humans can not be brought back to life, and the process turns them into something else. But what does that make the creatures who have been reanimated? No one is quite sure if they're even part human at this point, but the general agreement is that they're half-breeds. Half human... and half... something else.
We're still working that one out, by the way.
So what makes them so special? What can they do? The alarming thing is that we don't know. They could be demi-gods, infused with special powers, or simply humans that are immune to all things Shinigami. The thing that makes them frightening is that each Half-Breed could (in theory) be completely different than another - we just don't know. Their entire existance is a fluke, in all honestly - the tinkering of one law-bending Shinigami. No one knows if there's any risk of any more being created, but with Au running around the wilderness of the Shinigami Realm, and his desperate longing to improve himself, chances are there's a pretty huge probability of more finding their way into the human world.
Our top researchers don't know much about them, and as such we can only tell what we've collected.Last Updated 2/14/09
Wait, um, wrong date!

† Half-Breeds cannot, under any circumstance, gain the eyes of a Shinigami.
† We're pretty sure they always look like regular people.
† They just might be gods. Or at least half gods. We don't know.
† There are only two groups as of now, but with Au being batshit insane and everything, he could release more at any time. I'll try to keep you guys updated through announcements! (:
† This just in! This just in! Intelligence reports just told me that these creatures are uneffected by fire! Holy shit! They could blow up buildings or something!
† Oh... okay. Intelligence elaborated a little, the bastards. It turns out that they are effected by smoke, on the other hand. So we could, like, choke them to death or something. If they can die, of course. Ummmm....
† We're pretty sure these things can breed. What their children turn out like is... another story. We don't know. We, um, don't even know if they follow basic biology with breeding. Asexual or sexual and whatnot. We're just, um, sure that they can. By this point.[/ul]
Well! That's all I know by this point. I'll try to keep you guys updated.

Guidelines and tips for making a Half-Breed.
You may only create an Original Character Half-Breed when Au has released some.[/b]
That's right - you're not going to make one of these whenever you please. There have to be slots open - and an official news report from Tai is the only way you're going to know when there are spots to be filled. Au may only be creating one at a time, or he might just release five without proper cause. He's going insane, trying to find a way to improve on his design; so remember, the longer you wait, the larger amount of powers your character could, in theory, have.
Tai will be sure to outline those powers in her news reports, so be sure to take her into account when you're making your character.
You may own two Half-Breeds; one offical and one original, unless you buy the right to own another in the shops.[/b]
Self-explanatory. I don't want there to be too many of these running around. =w=;
Half-Breeds are not true humans.[/b]
So please don't treat them as if they are. The first batch that Au releases alongside the plot groups are going to be very humanistic in appearance, traits, and other such - but after that, do feel free to make them more demonic and such. Perhaps the dragging from Mu has altered their personalities? Perhaps they come all the way back from the 1500's? You can go pretty much hog-wild with these; just don't make their powers Superman like or anything.
Unless Tai reports that, of course. Who knows with Au?
If you have a special power or trait that you want your Half-Breed to have, please ask L and myself.[/u]
Just so we can tweak it and tell you if it's okay or not. c:
If there's no batch open, or if the current batch doesn't have the kinds of powers that you'd like to have, please tell me so I can take your request into consideration.[/u]
Once again, self-explanatory; if you're dying to have one with this really cool trait you've been thinking of, perhaps I can sway Au into trying for you. c:
There is no reservation on these spots (unless you're the one who requested the traits or powers of the batch), but then again, it's not first-come first-served basis, either.[/u]
This is so that people who want to make their Half-Breed are original and creative as possible don't feel rushed into completing their character; and also so the first person to yell for it gets it, because that's not fair. Though, if you plan on applying for a spot, do post a WIP sheet up on the applications board, so we can tell that you're working on it. As a rule, only the best character(s) gets accepted into the position.
The members of the first group are as follows:[/u]
Light
Misa
Takada
Mikami
Demegawa
Soichiro
As a rule, they reside in Japan when they first get accepted.
The second group is as follows:[/u]
L
Watari
Raye Penber
Naomi
Mello
Matt
As a rule, they reside in the United States when they first get accepted.
If your favorite dead Death Note character isn't in the first or second group, please tell me so that we can work something out.[/u]
